Broke E. Flammang, the study co-author and assistant professor of biological sciences said that the fish had anatomical features found in tetrapods only. These fish can climb waterfalls and stick to rocks in total darkness under water.

The NJIT researchers said that they could find much more about these fish’s anatomy. As far as evolution goes, this find is a huge discovery, said Flammang. Can we call them walking fish? I think so.
