The Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C.,which is a memorial to the victims of Nazism is being used as a Pokestop ( locations that players go to collect Pokemon eggs, balls etc). Due to this, players can be found in and out of the museum hunting for characters. The Museums Communications Director,Andrew Hollinger is trying to get the historic site excluded from the game.
Another Pokestop is located in the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum in Poland, and they two are offended that Pokemon Go players are using their location for gameplay, they made this clear in a recent tweet which stated in part, “it’s disrespectful to the memory of victims!”
