Willie Nelson isn’t exactly broke but between 1990 and 1993, Nelson was in financial trouble. Famous for smoking pot and singing country songs, just happened to owe $16 million to the IRS and went completely bankrupt.
For once there is a happy ending. Willie released an album called “The IRS Tapes: Who’ll Buy My Memories”. Willie paid off all his debt in just three years.
