AMERICAN LIE-DOL: JERMAKING THIS UP
2012 American Idol sees a singer named Jermaine Jones take out one of the 12 final spots. His personality and talents impressed fans, but if you don’t emotionally connect with the audience, they will not vote for you. Knowing full well that you need to tug at the heartstrings to win, Jones had a story of abandonment by his father at a young age. Over the course of the series his father adamantly denied this. When the truth finally came out the the abandonment story was a complete lie, and that he had been in trouble with the law. He was out the door.
