8 MINUTES IN HELL
The latest show for a popular TV network was 8 mins, where an ex-cop turned pastor sets up a classic prostitution sting operation, but instead of arresting the women when they show up, he gives himself eight minutes to turn their lives around. The show promised accommodation, medical services, legal and employment assistance for those that agreed to be a part of it.
According to a BuzzFeed News article, that didn’t happen. Multiple women who appeared on the show claimed they received only a few hundred dollars after being negotiated down. They were apparently never offered any of the other extra benefits for participating.
