Well known for her snobby rich girl character, Blair Waldorf on the once popular tv show, Gossip Girl Leighton Meester’s real life differs radically. Clearly Leighton was born to be an actress— I mean even her birth was dramatic. Both her parents and her sister were serving time in federal prison for their part in a marijuana-smuggling drug ring, at the time of her birth. At 11 years old Meester and her mom moved to New York where she began working as a model. Years later she would prove that where you come from has no bearing on where you can go. She is now married to another actor, Adam Brody and has her own, flourishing acting career.
