Maximilien was a french citizen who was born in the late 18th century and was said to have been involved in what is known as the reign of terror where he was associated with the deaths of about 41,000 people mostly buy the means of the guillotine, some of his victims were sometimes even close friends. His photo as a child is so cute that it is hard to imagine that he would be involved in such horrendous activities later on in life.
