She is the daughter of a popular Brazilian footballer (soccer player) known as Toninho Cerezo. Although she was born in Brazil, Lea grew up in Italy. She was discovered by creative director Riccardo Tisci. Her last name T actually stands for Tisci. Lea has been popular for being a transgendered fashion model and over the years she has always fought for the rights of the LGBT community. She underwent her sex reassignment surgery in 2012 in Thailand. In 2016, she became the first transgender to host the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, which were hosted in her motherland Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
