CARMEN CARRERA
Born Christopher Carrera, she is famous for appearing in the TV show RuPaul’s Drag Race. And even though she appeared as a man in the show’s third season, Carmen identifies as a transgendered female. She at first identified herself as a gay man, but then made the reassignment surgeries after filming the RuPaul’s Drag Race show. During her time in the show, Carmen experienced several transgender controversies. But she managed to handle them with dignity. She’s now an activist for the LGBT community. Carmen has been with her partner Adrian Torres since 2009, separated in 2013, got back together in 2015 where they wed after undergoing a relationship counselling.
