DANA INTERNATIONAL
She is a famous Israeli pop singer. And even though Dana doesn’t have the “transgender” image (not much known as a transgender celebrity), she was assigned male when she was born. She was named Yaron Cohen but she discovered she wasn’t male but more of a transsexual very early in her life. When she turned 13, she came out as a transgender girl and later in 1993 she underwent the reassignment surgery. Dana International started her journey to being famous as a drag performer by parodying popular songs, both international and local Israeli song. She then represented her country in the Eurovision Song Contest. This further took her to an international stage.
